Cambodia Adventure

A realm of fascinating contradictions. Meet the happiest and friendliest people in the world, and hear about their country's horrific past. See fish markets with more hustle and bustle than a rush hour subway station and then relax with a cocktail by one of the bluest oceans you've ever seen. Visit Angor Wat, watch orange monks drift by and taste some pretty interesting spiders. This trip will make you think twice about everything you see.

Day 1: Phnom Penh

We meet at 18.00pm for a welcome meet and greet, and then head off on an orientation walk. Phnom Penh is an up and coming South East Asian town with plenty of sights on offer. If you arrive early make sure to check out the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace, and take a walk along the river front. It’s your first night on tour, so dinner and drinks are mandatory. But who’ll be the one that eats the fried tarantula?

Day 2: Phnom Penh

We believe it’s important to know about the country you’re travelling in. The history of Cambodia is both incredible and deplorable. Discover the dark side at the Killing Fields and (S21) Prison; it’s a heavy experience, but one that's imperative for understanding the country you're travelling through.  In the evening take a walk alongside the riverside and take in the atmosphere over some evening drinks.

Day 3: Phnom Penh to Kampot

Today we head to the river town of Kampot. On route we will visit the town of Kep to try the delicious crab it's so famous for. We'll then head to Kampot in time to check out the town before an optional sunset cruise up the river. Immerse yourself in the provincial capital.

Day 4: Kampot to Sihanoukille

And now to the beach! The coast is beautiful, and on arrival you’ll feel energised from the the vibe of this happening beachside town. Do those beach things you love. Cocktails, massages and sunbathing. There’s some great beach nightlife here. We'll have a beachside BBQ to start the night, followed by some bar hopping.

Day 5: Sihanoukville

Feel grateful. You’re still on the wonderful Cambodian coast. Today let yourself go and be an absolute good-for-nothing-beach-bum! There are some great value diving opportunities and boat trips to the nearby islands. There are some great options to choose for dinner tonight, before heading out for our second night on the town. This is Sihanoukville!

Day 6: Sihanoukville to Battambang

Today's journey takes us from the coast to the west of Cambodia. make sure to look out the window and take in the changing of landscape as we drive by. We'll stop to for a boat ride to check out some pretty special floating villages at Tonle Sap Lake. When we arrive at the old French colonial city we’ll go for a quick orientation walk before dinner and drinks.

Day 7: Battambang to Siem Reap

On our way out of town this morning you'll have the time to check out the eensy-weensy-cute-little bamboo train. 100% charming.  After this it’s off to the town famed for its ancient temples, Siem Reap.

Day 8: Siem Reap

Ready, set….and…Go! Head out for sunrise and start manically exploring these incredible 1000 year old temples. There's no way you’ll see all the temples because the area covers a whopping 400 square kilometres! We’re talking the-largest-religious-monument in the world huge. V-e-r-y b-i-g. The end of the tour is tomorrow so you’re welcome to spend as long as you like exploring this place. It’s worth staying a bit longer in Siem Reap as a trip to the floating village is a must. Exhausted or not exhausted let’s all say our good byes over some drinks back at pub street!
