Istanbul City Tour & Night bus to Goreme (B)
See the best highlights of Istanbul with an expert local guide who will take you around the city and show you interesting local places to grab a coffee and snack as well as the most important points of interest. Start off your day by walking to the ancient Hippodrome in Istanbul, followed by the Sokullu Mehmet Pasa Mosque, home to an impressive collection of Iznik tiles and known by many as an architectural marvel due to the inclined slope which lays underneath it. Then we will visit Divanyolu, built in the 4th century AD by Emperor Constantine. Peek into an ancient han for a first hand glance at local craftsmanship next to the Grand Bazaar. Slip into the Grand Bazaar, known around the world as the very first “shopping mall” which is home to an incredible array of over 4,000 shops. Do some window shopping and then come back later when you have more time to walk around and bargain with the shop owners. See the place where the first printed book was sold in Turkey in 1729 at the book bazaar. Your tour will continue to the Turkish baths and mosque of Süleymaniye Külliyesi where your local guide will explain the history of this magnificent palace. Take a taste of flavourful Turkish tea at a local establishment with incredible views of Istanbul. Reach the Spice Bazaar where your tour comes to an end. Your guide will point out a small restaurant “lokanta” where you can have lunch on your own. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure and then make your way to the bus station for your night bus to Goreme, Cappadocia.
Dress standard: Please be aware that Turkish dress codes for visiting mosques are conservative. Out of respect for the local people, we ask that you please wear modest clothing, meaning that your shoulders and knees should be covered (for both men and women). Women should also cover their heads with a scarf (you can purchase an inexpensive scarf in Istanbul). The weather in Istanbul ranges from freezing cold in winter to extremely hot and humid in summer (June, July, and August).
Cappadocia Highlights Tour (L)
As you arrive in Goreme, make your way to your accommodation for check-in and get ready for your first encounter with Cappadocia`s fascinating rock formations. At approximately 9:30 you will be picked-up from your accommodation to begin your first tour of this amazing region. The first stop is Cevizli, where you will have the opportunity to see old caves, pigeon houses and the stunning Uçhisar Castle, the highest and most beautiful fairy chimney of the region. Next, you will continue to a viewpoint from where you can admire the unique rock formations of the "Love Valley", before arriving to the Göreme Open Air Museum, where you can visit the many rock churches of Old Göreme, home to some of the best preserved Christian frescoes from the 8th to the 13th century.

After admiring the beautiful artwork, you will have the opportunity to learn to create ceramics yourself. Your next stop is Pasabag `Monks` Valley, home to the most striking fairy chimneys of the country, with twin and even triple rock caps, giving them the name of mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The next destination is Devrent Valley, also known as Imaginary Valley or Pink Valley, the only area which was never inhabited, made famous by small strange looking fairy chimneys that give the valley a lunar-like landscape. The valley also has many animal shaped rocks, including the famous camel-shaped rock. Continue with a visit to a local winery in Ürgüp before stopping by the Three Beauties, a conic rock formation that locals have created many legends about, to take a final picture. After the tour you will be dropped-off at your accommodation in Goreme, where you will spend the night.
