Welcome to Madidi National Park, recognised by National Geographic as one of the world`s most vast and biologically diverse rainforests. This is a true wilderness area, with steep jungle terrain, white water rivers, snow-capped mountains and some of the most stunning scenery you will ever see! The tour starts with a flight from La Paz with superb views over the beautiful peaks of the more than 6,000 m high Andean mountain chain `La Cordillera Real`, then passing over the green valley of the Yungas to the plains of the Amazon. You will arrive at the jungle hub, Rurrenabaque village, or `Rurre` as it is affectionately known amongst locals. It is from here you will head out into the Jungle in search of wildlife such as anaconda, spectacled bear, jaguars, wolfs, otters, piranhas, monkeys, and a huge variety of birds. You will travel by boat to the special base campsite where you will sleep and eat for 2 nights. Your final day offers a unique opportunity to visit a vertical rock formation with hundreds of coulorful parrots! Spend time with the local guide from the people of the Amazon and you might even get taught to do some of their own crafts such as fishing- then eat your catch for lunch! This is a truly amazing tour that will keep you buzzing for days, and a definite highlight of your Bolivian adventure!
