Day 1: New York Area - Niagara Falls

Departing urban life, you make your way to Niagara Falls for an evening viewing to see what makes this one of North America's most beloved attractions. Made up of three waterfalls, this mighty natural wonder will blow you away. What it lacks in height it definitely makes up for in sheer volume of water, and the noise is pretty immense too!

Meals Included: All meals to be paid locally

02

Day 2: Niagara Falls - Toronto

Bordering the USA and Canada, the best way to see the falls is on an included ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat tour (April-October) - prepare to get wet as you get a truly awesome perspective of the falls up close! Then it's time to cross Rainbow Bridge into beautiful Canada. Toronto is where all the trendy people are at, with high-fashion stores and cosy cafes on College and Queen Streets. View the city from above with a trip to the top of the CN Tower and gaze out across the beautiful Lake Ontario.

Meals Included: All meals to be paid locally

Optional Activities:

  • CN Tower CA$36-$48
  • Baseball game CA$20-$50
  • CN Tower EdgeWalk CA$225
  • Maid of the Mist cruise (summer only) US$19

03

Day 3-4: Montreal

Expect a little European flair, as Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city in the world (beaten only by Paris). Museums, galleries, eateries and clubs make up a cocktail of the best bits from both continents. Don't miss out on the ‘Underground City’ which includes 30km devoted to all things retail, or an adventurous jet boat ride on the river. Ever eaten your dinner in complete darkness? Well, now you can if you choose to visit O'Noir, a restaurant where the waiters are blind and you eat in the pitch black. Make sure you don't wear your best clothes, it's sure to get messy!

Meals Included: All meals to be paid locally

Optional Activities:

  • Jet boat ride CA$69
  • French cuisine CA$varies
  • O'Noir restaurant in the dark from CA$39-$47

04

Day 5-6: Stowe

During the winter, this 'Ski Capital of the East' puts on an incredible winter spread, but Stowe remains a highlight during the summer months too. With hiking, biking and swimming on offer, this really is an adventure lover's playground. If 'Chunky Monkey' and 'Phish Food' mean something to you, then you're going to love Stowe with an included visit to the one and only Ben & Jerry's ice-cream factory!

Meals Included: All meals to be paid locally

Optional Activities:

  • Mountain biking US$45-$60
  • Snowshoeing US$20
  • Ice skating US$15-$20
  • Skiing US$120-$150

05

Day 7-8: Boston

Head to ‘Beantown’ for a slice of history starting with a walk along the Freedom Trail and a stop at some of America's historical hotspots. Boston has awesome green spaces, lounge on Boston Common or enjoy a local tipple at Trillium’s beer garden on the green way. Sports fans rejoice, as Boston is famous for its baseball and football teams - try and catch a game to experience the real America. And of course, your visit wouldn't be complete without a trip to the famous 'Cheers' bar for a cheeky beverage.

A week sight seeing America and Canada. First stop was seeing the breathtaking Niagara Falls to then heading over to Canada for Toronto's CN Tower & Montreal for poutine and ONOIR (a restaurant were you eat in the dark) which was a mind blowing experience that i wont forget. The aspect the whole group went in with mixed emotions and came out repeating it as the best thing about the whole trip. Its an out of body and sensory experience that I think everyone should try at least once if they can. After experiencing too much city life this trip provided some chill time around home comforts in a lodge for a few nights in the ski resort of Stowe, Vermont. If you are thinking of booking this trip wait until October time were you can experience the magical colours of Autumn. Definitely worth a visit! The trips last days continue in Boston for Cheers (TV series), freedom and iconic universities. An eye opening experience seeing parts of America & Canada all in the space of one week. On top of that being around amazing people also there to experience something new too.

This was my second trek with trek America and if I am honest I think they are far better treks than this one. This trek just didn't seem to be good value for money for the 9 days and nothing is really including. Last year I did the Southern BLT which was amazing and worth every penny, included more as well! However I did have a really good time on this trek with the people who were on it, made some really good friends. Ben and Jerry's Ice cream factory was insane and the guesthouse in Stowe was super cool. Fell in love with Boston, and if you go make sure you take a trip to Harvard Uni and Acorn Street. My trek leader was lovely and got one with everyone. I feel though because it was this first season that he didn't really know where was best to go and didn't really do a lot as a group, everyone just split off and did there own thing. On the last day trek is meant to finish at 5pm, but 2pm we had been drop off at the finishing hotel. We could of stopped somewhere on the way back to make the day last a bit longer but we were just rushed back to the hotel, which kinda suck as I was flying home the next day so was then stuck at the hotel for the rest of the day/night. Luckily I did go with 2 friends so I wasn't bored but if you were both yourself then there isn't a lot to do there.
