Day 1: Cape Town

Arrive at any time.
Consider booking pre-tour accommodation if you'd like to see all of the popular sights in the area.


Day 2: Cape Town/Oudtshoorn

Travel into the Klein Karoo on the famous Route 62. Opt to enjoy a wine tasting along the way.


Day 3: Oudtshoorn/Stormsrivier

Before leaving Oudtshoorn, opt to explore the Cango Caves or visit an ostrich farm. Cross over the Outeniqua Mountains into the Garden Route. Stop at the Bloukrans Bridge for those brave enough to try the bungee jump, and arrive in the forest village of Stormsrivier for the night.


Day 4: Tsitsikamma National Park

Enjoy free time in the morning to go hiking, or bungee jumping. In the afternoon visit the Tsitsikamma National Park, with beautiful coastal trails to explore.
Optional activities in the area include hiking a portion of the Otter Trail or along the coastline, abseiling, scuba diving, snorkelling, boat rides, and canoeing.


Day 5: Stormsrivier/Addo Elephant National Park

Enjoy a wildlife safari drive in our vehicle. Be on the watch for elephants and other wildlife.
Continue on to Addo Elephant National Park, a unique wildlife area. Although famous for the Addo elephants, this park is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Embark on an afternoon wildlife safari drive (in our vehicle) in search of the resident elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalo, and even leopards. Listen to the wild sounds of Africa while enjoying a sundowner and sitting around the campfire at night.


Day 6: Addo Elephant National Park/Graaff-Reinet

Travel into the vast semi-desert of the Great Karoo and overnight in the town of Graaff-Reinet, just outside the Camdeboo National Park. Opt to visit the Valley of Desolation for beautiful views over the surrounding area.


Day 7: Graaff-Reinet/Malealea

Cross the border into the highest independent state in the world.


Day 8: Malealea

Enjoy free time for hiking or horseback riding along trails through this beautiful mountainous country.


Day 9: Malealea/Drakensville

Return to South Africa and set up camp in the foothills of the mountain.


Day 10: Drakensville

Set off on an included hike along Tugela Gorge in Royal Natal NP.


Day 11: Drakensville/Saint Lucia

Travel to St Lucia on the coast of Zululand.


Day 12: Saint Lucia

Enjoy a free day to explore. Opt to take a wildlife safari drive in Hluluwe - iMfolozi Park or go horseback riding on the beach.
Take an optional boat trip on the estuary or go horseback riding on the beach. Opt to visit Hluluwe - iMfolozi Park, which is a safe haven for both the white and black rhino, as well as lions, buffalo, elephants, and leopards.


Day 13: Saint Lucia/Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Cross another border into Swaziland and stay in traditional beehive huts in Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.
The mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland, lead by King Mswati III, is one of three monarchies in Africa. Explore Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated in the Swaziland's “Valley of Heaven”, the Ezulwini Vallley.


Day 14: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary/Hazyview

Cross back into South Africa and drive through the famous Kruger National Park, to our safari camp just outside the gates.


Day 15: Kruger National Park

Enjoy a full-day wildlife safari drive in the Kruger Park (in our vehicle). Experience a traditional dinner and local dancing in the evening.
Opt to upgrade to a 4x4 vehicle for the wilderness safari drive.


Day 16: Hazyview/Johannesburg

Transfer back to Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city. The tour ends upon arrival.
