Welcome to Israel, where we'll kick off our tour in the City of Gold. A visit to the Mount of Olives, a religious centre of Christianity, Islam & Judaism, will give us a breathtaking view over the city.
Today we’ll get to know the city a little better with a full day tour, uncovering secrets and culture that dates back thousands of years. We’ll discover Jerusalem’s holy history and key sites, including the Jewish Quarter, the Arab Market, and even the biblical hill of Mount Zion. With all that knowledge in our heads and all those exciting snaps in our camera roll, this tour is already proving to be utterly enlightening…
Jerusalem, we're not done with you yet! We’ll spring out of bed for more exploring, this time going beyond the monuments and digging deep into ancient life. We’ll visit the sobering sites of the Yad Vashem Museum and Memorial, also known as The World Holocaust Remembrance Centre, and Mount Herzl Cemetery. The Second Temple Model will give us an inkling of what the city looked like in ancient times.
This morning, we’ll wrap it up in Jerusalem and head north into the lush pastures of Galilee, Israel’s mountainous region.Prepare to be blown away by Galilee’s sheer beauty. With its lush landscapes and quaint rural villages, it’s a stark contrast from the hustle and bustle of Jerusalem. We won't waste a second, starting with a visit to the holy city of Nazareth (a.k.a the childhood home of Jesus) then getting closer to nature with a traditional boat ride on the sea of Galilee. This surely be a day that will stay with us forever.
We may be waking up in paradise, but we’ll hit the road early to make our morning crossing to Jordan via the Sheik Hussein border. We’ll journey past pine forests and olive groves until we reach the ancient Greco Roman city of Jerash. Here in Jerash, we’ll uncover the Greco Roman influence on this holy land, as a tour of the city sees us peruse Corinthian columns and ancient ruins. After an interesting visit of the Iraq Al-Amir Women's Cooperative Society, we’ll make our way to Amman, Jordan’s capital city. In this bustling hubbub of life, a city tour will show us Amman’s highlights, including the Amphitheatre and the Citadel.
We’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before setting off. With the knowledge that this afternoon we’ll rally in the Red Rose City of Petra, our anticipation will be at an all-time high.Pinch yourself - we’re in Petra! Cue the collective gasp in awe of this magnificent site, where the hues of pink make us forget what era (and what planet) we’re in. Once we’re done taking our mental (and physical) pictures, we’ll have our socks blown off a second time as our local guide briefs us on the city’s history. Getting up close and personal with Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal Arc and the Monastery, we’ll see just why this is the greatest attraction in the Middle East.
All that cultural discovery of the past few days has us craving some uber chill vibes, and we’ll find them in Eilat. We’ll leave Petra and embark on a journey through Wadi Rum, Jordan’s largest and most stunning desert, where silent landscapes, ancient riverbeds and pastel colours will have us glued to the windows. We’ll even hop in a 4x4 for the full desert experience. After a full day of desert-ing, we’ll arrive in the coastal resort of Eilat and turn in for an early night.
A full day to enjoy the coastal resort of Eilat? You got that right. Today is all about kicking back, relaxing, and indulging in a little r&r - and with the Red Sea at our toes and the sun on our faces, the good vibes will be unstoppable. We’ll head to the Underwater Observatory to oggle marine life before a late afternoon hike in the Red Canyon will give us panoramic views for days.
We’ll say goodbye to the coastal city of Eilat. Tel Aviv, we’re coming for ya! But first, we’ll unearth the mystical allure of the Negev, which includes a visit to the Dead Sea and the insta-worthy Ein Gedi Oasis. After a day filled with exploring Israel’s most enigmatic sites, we’ll arrive in the cosmopolitan city of Tel Aviv.
Welcome to Tel Aviv, Israel’s second-largest city - and arguably its most modern. Keep it high energy with a day full of seeing the sights and sinking your teeth into Tel Aviv’s eclectic culinary scene, or slow it down with a day spent perusing boutiques with an ice cream in hand.
It’s been one heck of an adventure - but all good things must come to an end. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll say our goodbyes and swap deets. We sense new adventures on the horizon!
