Day 1: San Francisco

San Francisco is the perfect place to start your tour – this cosmopolitan city is awash with things to do and lots of cool areas to explore. Today is an arrival day, and you’ll meet your guide and new travel companions at 18:00. Beforehand, why not walk the Golden Gate Bridge for incredible city skyline views, spot sea lions and sample the foodie delights at Pier 39, or take a stroll into the colourful Castro or hip Haight-Ashbury districts.

Day 2-3: Yosemite National Park

Swap city for nature, and get lost amongst the towering trees and granite peaks of California's beloved Yosemite National Park. Take some time exploring the valley on foot or by bike, or if you want more of an adventure, there are tons of incredible hikes to get stuck into. The ‘Mist Trail’ hike to Vernal and Nevada Falls is something special - not only will you see epic waterfalls but you might even spot some incredible wildlife – maybe even a bear!

Day 4-5: Las Vegas

Viva Las Vegas! Experience the buzz of 'Sin City' with a stroll down The Strip, or fly along Fremont Street on a zip wire. If you just want to relax and take it all in, pool parties and cool bars are calling out to you, plus the delicious allure of an all you can eat buffet. Day 6-7: Grand Canyon National Park

Day 8: Monument Valley

Day 9: Santa Fe

Say hello to sunny Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico! Here, Mexican and American cultures meet in the worlds of architecture, culture, food and much more. Take in galleries, Navajo crafts, historic adobe buildings and a vibrant restaurant scene.

Day 10: Amarillo

Step into the real Texas with its grasslands, rolling hills and sprawling valleys. Stop at Cadillac Ranch, a famous American roadside attraction with the classic cars half-buried nose-first in the ground. For years, visitors have been rocking up with a spray can and decorating the cars - now it's your turn. Everything's bigger in Texas, and that includes the Big Texan Steak Ranch along the old Route 66, and it’s time to chow down!

Day 11-12: Austin

Famous for its live music and quirky charms, take some time getting to know the state capital of Texas. Discover why locals ‘Keep Austin Weird’ in the coffee shops, eccentric stores, restaurants, food trucks, trailers and festivals of South Congress district.

Day 13: New Orleans

Your tour unfortunately has to end here – but the fun doesn’t have to stop, as we totally recommend you book an extra night or two to sample the New Orleans nightlife! This jazz-tastic town moves at its own pace and you'll find yourself embracing the laid-back vibes in no time.This tour ends at approximately 17:00. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00.
