Dublin to Westport Region
Failte Romhat; (Welcome)! Your tour starts when we leave the capital city of Dublin and make our way to the Boyne Valley, where you’ll paddle along the Boyne river in an ancient canoe used in Game of Thrones.
After some free time in the medieval city of Galway city, it’s then a transfer to your accommodation at the foot of Croagh Patrick MT on the edge of Connemara.
Croagh Patrick Mt & Westport Region
Enjoy a free day and get out and explore the savage beauty of the Westport Region. There are many excellent optional activities available to choose from; with your guide you can navigate the stony path to the summit of Croagh Patrick, or at your own expense, go kayaking along Clew Bay, or bike along The Great Western Greenway or just spend some time around the historic Westport town and visit it`s attractions.
Inis Mor to Doolin
Today we catch a ferry boat from Rosseveal to the largest of the Aran Islands, Inis Mor. Travel back in time as we spend a whole day on the Gaelic speaking island of Inis Mor. Miles of stone walls wait as you explore the island bike excursion. After lunch and visits to the fortress of Dun Aengus and the ‘Worm hole’ (home of the Red Bull diving competition), we head back on the ferry cruise to Doolin village, Ireland’s Irish music capital.
Cliffs of Moher to Dingle Peninsula
Enjoy a half-day hiking excursion along the world-renowned Cliffs of Moher Track. The Atlantic edge track takes you to the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher standing 214m (702 feet) above sea level.
From there we will take a ferry crossing over Ireland’s the River Shannon, we`ll follow the road over the Conor Pass, Ireland`s highest mountain road, before arriving at your accommodation in Dingle. In the evening you can opt to do a sunset kayak in Dingle harbour and caves.
Full Day Dingle Peninsula
Enjoy free time in the morning for optional activities such as Eco boat trips, surfing, rock climbing, sea kayaking, paddle boarding (SUP), horse riding or a distillery visit. In the afternoon, discover stunning landscapes on foot.
Ring of Kerry to Killarney
Early this morning we travel around the Ring of Kerry. You can either explore the trail to Valentia Island and Bray Head with your guide, or as an optional extra, take an ‘Eco’ boat trip around the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Skellig Islands (Star Wars Island) or opt to hire a bike and discover the island at your own pace.
After a full day of discovery, we spend two nights on the edge of Killarney National Park.
Full day in Killarney National Park
You have a full free day to fully explore everything on offer. Killarney is a great place to spend a few days, no matter what your past-time of choice is. Options include: kayaking on the lakes of Killarney, combo boat trip through the lakes with a bike ride or hike through the Gap of Dunloe, biking excursion through the National park, climb Torc Mountain for amazing views, or just relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.
Killarney to Kilkenny
This morning we leave Killarney and travel in the direction of County Kilkenny.
En route we will take in Cork city, choose to visit the food stalls of the English market ,the cities Hop on Hop Off service or spend your time at the world renowned Blarney Castle and Gardens.
From there, we will take in the imposing Rock of Cashel, once the seat of the Kings of Munster, before arriving in the medieval city of Kilkenny in the evening.
Full Day Kilkenny
This morning you will join a locally guided walking tour of Kilkenny. Hear stories, from wealthy tradesmen to bishops and witches.
In the afternoon enjoy free time for optional activities such as ; learn to play the ancient Celtic game of Hurling, the world’s oldest and fastest field game, go biking around the city suburbs or discover the city’s many attractions, such as the castle, the Canice cathedral, take a guided tour of the Smithwick’s brewery or just simply relax and enjoy the sights and sounds from a nearby pub.
Kilkenny to Dublin
This morning we will make our way to the monastic city of Glendalough. This will be a half day trek as we wander the valley and lakes, touching haunting medieval remains that stand long after Viking raids and the Dissolution of the Monasteries. In the late afternoon we arrive back in the city of Dublin. This is where your tour comes to an end – we hope you had a blast on your Irish journey!
