It is not encouraged to walk alone due to potential issues with bears. Then it's on to the `Polar Bear Jail'. One way the citizens of Churchill care for their Polar Bear friends is to put them in `jail'. When someone spots a Polar Bear too close to town, they call a special phone number, and the bear is humanely trapped and placed in the `Polar Bear Jail' until it can be safely transported back to the wild. Please note: You will transfer to the airport this morning for the flight from Winnipeg to Churchill a Lazy Bear staff will greet you at your hotel.
